HOW TO RETAIN TRIBUNAL CLIENTS!

You paid for and applied for the RCIC-IRB License! The College of Immigration Consultants of Canada (CICC) have put you through mock hearing after mock hearing to instruct you what is suppose to happen at the various tribunals. You have studied about Detention Reviews, Admissibility Hearings, Spousal, Removal and Residency Appeals, and learned about hearings at the Refugee Protection Division. After July 01st, 2022 you will be authourized to represent clients at all divisions of the IRB.

  • What do you say to the first potential client that calls you?

IF A WIFE CALLS YOU CRYING HYSTERICALLY BECAUSE CBSA JUST ARRESTED HER HUSBAND IN HANDCUFFS AND TOOK HIM AWAY!

What questions should you ask her?

Who should you call?

What is the next thing you must do?

WHEN A POTENTIAL CLIENT INFORMS YOU THAT HE/SHE HAS AN ADMISSIBILITY HEARING SCHEDULED FOR LATE NEXT MONTH?

What is the first thing you need to learn about this client?

How can you convince him/her that your skilled enough to find them not described?

A SPONSOR CALLS AND INFORMS YOU THAT HIS (DO IT YOURSELF) DIY SPOUSAL APPLICATION HAS JUST BEEN REFUSED!

What do you need to know to convince him to retain your services?

What would you recommend, should he appeal or reapply?

How are you going to prepare for the appeal?

Can you demand an Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)?

IS IT NOT TIME YOU JOINED THE CANADIAN REGULATED CONSULTANTS ASSOCIATION? (CRCA)

Learning from experienced fellow members on how to convince tribunal clients to retain you is what you really need to know.
